What is the purpose of the game?

In CS:GO, there are two teams: Counter-Terrorists (CT) and Terrorists. When starting the match, you must choose one of the two teams. The purpose of each team is different during the game.

Counter-Terrorists: You must eliminate all Terrorists from the opposing team and prevent them from planting the bomb. If they can deploy the bomb, their goal is to deactivate this bomb. You will have 45 seconds to do this (in competitive games).

Terrorists: You must eliminate all CTs from the opposing team or deploy the bomb and ensure it explodes. After deployed, the bomb will explode in 45 seconds. In all maps, there are always two areas to deploy the bomb, the Bombsites A, and B, or B1 and B2.

Game Modes

When you click on play in the CS:GO home menu, you will come across some different game modes: Deathmatch, Arms Race, Demolition, Casual and Competitive.

Deathmatch

All players will be born in random locations on the map. As the name says, the goal is to kill. You must kill more than the other players. The winning team will be the one with the player with the highest number of killings. Upon dying, you will be reborn shortly after a few seconds and you can choose any weapon in the game. It’s a great way to train your aim and new weapons.

Arms Race

In this mode, you will start at level 1 and when you eliminate opponents, you will receive experience to raise levels. Each level you reach, you will receive a new weapon to use. Your goal is to reach level 16 where you receive the Golden Knife. The winning team is the one that gets the first kill with the Golden Knife.

Demolition

It’s a 20-round match. The winning team will be the one to win 11 rounds first. To win a round, your team must eliminate all players from the opposing team or disarm the bomb (if it is CT) and blow up the bomb (if it is Terrorist). At each kill, you will receive a different weapon to play.

Casual and Competitive

These two modes work with the classic CS GO rule that was explained above in the “Purpose of the Game”. In the competitive mode, you will receive points to climb the ranking of the game.

How to buy Weapons and Equipment (Key B)?

To buy, you first need to understand that in CS:GO it is only possible to buy in certain areas of the map. These areas are usually where you respawn, at the base of your team. In some maps, the shop can be found in the middle.

If you are CT, you cannot buy in the Terrorist area of the map, and vice versa. Next to your money (below the Mini-Map) is a green shopping car, which also signals when you can make a purchase. In addition, you have a 20-second time limit (in competitive matches) to make your purchases. Being inside the purchase area and in the time limit, the command to open the store is the key “B”. In each round of the game, you can make new purchases.
